A Few Odd and Ends
Good morning bloggies!
I am a couple days late in posting this, but I thought I’d share that my blog views just went over 1,000! My first post was on January 16th, so in just under 2 months I managed 1,074 hits! Amazing! I love you guys out there for reading. This blog has already kept me accountable and on track more than I could have hoped for. I love the blogger community and all the support it brings. Thank you!!
Speaking of accountability… I have just upgraded one of my methods of accountability! I have been using a whiteboard calendar to track my days of exercise and/or miles run. I was pretty good about using it at first, but then I’d forget a day or two… or a week. When I was keeping up with it I really enjoyed seeing a streak of days with exercise listed. It made me feel good!
So I liked the idea, but the execution wasn’t really working. Good thing I heard about an iPhone app called Streaks! I read about it on this blog. I downloaded it a few days ago and made one calendar for calories and one for exercise. It doesn’t let you make notes on the calendar days, but I will still get that satisfaction of seeing lots of Xs! Check out the screen shots from Apple:
Cool idea, huh? I can’t wait to start collecting my Xs!
Apparently I keep getting too wrapped up in what I’m blogging about to remember to post my calories!
Friday’s stats…
Total Calories: 2,059
Calories Burned: 236
Net Calories: 1823
Saturday’s stats…
Total Calories: 1722
Calories Burned: 0
Net Calories: 1722
Side note #1: On Friday, all I wanted to do was EAT! Do you ever have days like that? Where you’ve got the munchies for no good reason? Fortunately we didn’t have anything “bad” in the house, so all my munching was on healthy stuff and I managed to net pretty close to 1800.
Side note #2: The scale STILL wouldn’t drop below 230 this morning. I’m mad. Don’t wanna talk about it. I’m blaming it on the cup of soup I had last night with dinner. Steak n Potato. It wasn’t the low sodium version. Water retention? I dunno. Grrrr!
I was especially hoping to hit that new low this morning since it’s Sunday and it’s a cheat day. It is an extra special treat day too since Jared’s birthday is on Wednesday and we’re celebrating a little early today. Our plan is to hit Outback for dinner. I looooooove Outback and haven’t been since I left Savannah! And get this, ya’ll: I’m going to make a carrot cake (Jared’s fave) from scratch. Like, not from a box. This should be interesting
I will post pictures!
Happy Sunday!
